DP-2 Shuttle Tankers
The dynamically positioned (DP2) Shuttle Tanker Dan Eagle was converted
from the former product tanker M/S Freja Pacific at Remontowa
Shipyard (Gdansk) and outfitted with state-of-the-art DP-2 and bow-loading
systems end 2008. Dan Eagle is designed to offload crude oil from platforms
and floating units such as FPSO's and shuttling it safely to terminals
ashore.
In addition, two shuttle tanker newbuildings are on order from the Cosco
Nantong Shipyard in China. The two vessels will be delivered in 2011.
