J. Lauritzen celebrates Japanese business relations

Oct 5 2015

For more than 30 years J. Lauritzen has had close relations to Japan. This was underlined at the annual cocktail reception hosted by J. Lauritzen in the lavishing surroundings of Happo-en-Tokyo on 16 September 2015, where representatives from Japanese trading houses, shipyards, ship owners and other business partners were invited and had the opportunity to meet J. Lauritzen’s management led by President & CEO Jan Kastrup-Nielsen.

In his welcome speech, Mr. Jan Kastrup-Nielsen, reflected upon the challenges during the past year and stressed the importance of close relations in today's tough business climate: “The ability to meet the expectations of our friends and business partners, making connections and building new friendships will help us strengthen our common foundation from which we all can meet the better times which will come when eventually the world regains its balance.

After the welcome speech participants enjoyed the nice atmosphere and the opportunity to network with JL representatives from Copenhagen and Singapore.

Peter Borup, President of Lauritzen Bulkers, said in a comment: "Our long-lasting and very strong Japanese business relations were amply confirmed at the reception and it was, as it always is, a true pleasure to see so many of our Japanese friends and business partners that play such a vital role for our operations".
